Research Communication Expert

I'm a Los Angeles-based communication practitioner with advanced research expertise in behavioral communication. I hold a Master's Degree in Strategic Communication from Johns Hopkins University and possess significant experience coordinating various communication efforts. I partner with organizations, nonprofits, and creative service agencies to achieve complex communication objectives drawing on advanced qualitative research expertise & psychographics.

There are a lot of brilliant writers in this competitive landscape, but words alone are not enough. When it comes to strategic communication, the use of research communication plays a critical role in informing which research frames to incorporate to achieve specific outcomes. The field of communication is grounded in social sciences and draws on a wide range of theoretical frameworks (social proof, inoculation theory, rational appeals) and research gleanings to remove attitudinal barriers (health & political communication) but also create persuasive messaging.

Storytelling

My approach to storytelling muses on creative ways to blend scientific rigor with humanistic sensibilities. I love digging into the intricacies of an assigned project, finding the most relevant nuggets and translating them into compelling content. I write emotion-evoking copy, drawing from my research expertise in the psychology of persuasive messaging to elicit action. I believe in humanizing brands and content in a way that is compelling, gripping and relatable.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Affairs from Northeastern University, and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Communication from the Johns Hopkins University where I’ve gained exposure to communication polling under the guidance of NBC News Chief Political Deputy, Mark Murray.
